Debbie Sechrist
Debbie Sechrist has nearly 20 years of leadership in the financial services industry. A passionate advocate of the “people helping people” credit union philosophy, she has dedicated the majority of her career helping those in the education field and beyond achieve their financial goals. Debbie currently services as the Branch Manager of Apple Federal Credit Union’s Stafford location. In this role, she overseas daily branch operations, as well as acts as a community ambassador on behalf of the Credit Union. She is a member of the Apple Scholars scholarship selection committee, helping review hundreds of applications annually and attending regional award presentations. Debbie has also participated in the Stafford County Public Schools (SCPS) New Teacher Institute, providing financial guidance to new educators. She’s a current member of the SCPS Business Advisory Committee, and has previously served on the Career and Technical Education Parent Advisory Committee. In April 2019, Debbie and Apple FCU were honored by the SCPS School Board as a part of the Virginia School Boards Association’s Business Honor Roll.
Additionally, Debbie is an active member of the Virginia Sister Society of the Global Woman’s Leadership Network, a credit union-based group of women leaders, and serves on their outreach committee Board. She is also active in several Veterans-based charities and is a proud Veteran of the United States Navy.
Debbie lives in Stafford with her husband and two daughters, who attend Stafford County Public Schools. In her free time, she is an avid traveler, having visited more than 20 countries and 43 states, and enjoys adventure sports.
